About the Platform
What are Apex Legends Competitive Scrims?
SOLO Scrim Manager is a fully automated competitive Apex Legends scrim platform built by players, for players. It handles everything from team signups and lobby balancing to real-time skill tracking, so hosts can focus on running great games and players can focus on competing.
For Players
- →Sign up solo or as a pre-made trio directly through Discord. No tweets or DMs needed to find your third.
- →Link your Overstat profile once and your skill rating is calculated automatically from your career stats.
- →Compete in balanced lobbies where teams are skill-matched, so every endgame is competitive and meaningful.
- →Track your improvement over time. As you place higher and perform better, your rating rises in real time, visible on the player leaderboard.
For Hosts & Staff
- →Open and close scrim blocks with a single Discord command. Signups are automatically tracked.
- →The bot auto-fills teams, handles waitlists, and manages subs without any manual spreadsheet work.
- →Lobbies are built by the matchmaking engine, not by gut feeling. Every lobby targets a ±5 skill range.
- →Token grants, low-priority flags, and player enforcement tools keep the competitive environment healthy.

Transparent & Fair
How the Skill Rating Works
Our rating system combines the best ideas from Microsoft TrueSkill 2, StarCraft's Bonus Pool, and Rainbow Six Siege's statistical player value, all adapted specifically for competitive Apex Legends.
The 0–50 Scale
Every player has a skill rating between 0 and 50. When you link your Overstat profile, the system reads your entire career and places you on the scale immediately.
What Goes Into Your Rating
Seven career metrics are weighted and combined. Survival time and K/D carry the most weight because staying alive and winning fights are what win games in Apex.
Other Factors
Recent Placements
Your last 8 matches affect your rating by up to ±3 points. Consistent top-3 finishes boost your skill, and landing 15th–20th repeatedly hurts it.
Experience Bonus
More career games played means a small bonus (up to +3 pts) on a logarithmic curve. Experience matters most when you're new.
Confidence
A percentage showing how reliable your rating is. Starts at 0% and grows with every scrim you play. At 80%+, your number is very accurate.
Bonus Pool
Every 7 days you automatically earn up to 35 bonus pool points (max 150). When you gain skill in a scrim, bonus pool adds extra on top, rewarding regular players and softening bad nights. Extended inactivity causes the pool to slowly drain, but it never fully disappears.
Pre-Made vs. SoloQ
Pre-made trios who sign up together receive a +3 coordination bonus on their team skill, reflecting the advantage of practiced comms and trust. Solo players assembled by the system start at 0 coordination bonus. Your individual rating grows the same either way.

Got Questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
- Do I need a pre-made team to join scrims?
- No. Use /soloq to sign up alone and the bot will assemble a team for you from other similarly skilled solo players. You can also find teammates in the Discord!
- Can I lose skill rating?
- Yes. Poor placements and below-baseline performance will lower your rating. However, losses are capped at -3 points per game and your bonus pool can soften the impact.
- What's the fastest way to increase my skill?
- Place in the top 3 while performing above baseline across multiple metrics. A 1st place finish with great K/D, survival time, and support stats is worth +3 to +5 points immediately.
- What if I don't have many recent placements?
- The system defaults to 0 placement bonus and calculates your rating purely from career metrics plus experience. Once you play scrims, the placement bonus kicks in and updates after every session.
- How do lobbies get balanced?
- When a scrim block starts, every team's effective skill is calculated (individual averages + coordination bonus). Teams are sorted and placed into lobbies targeting a ±5 skill range.
- Is my skill rating based on ranked or casual stats?
- It's calculated from your total career stats pulled from Overstat, which covers all your Apex matches, not just ranked. This prevents manipulation since you can't fake career totals.
- What does my confidence percentage mean?
- Confidence measures how certain the system is about your rating. At 0% it has very little data; at 80%+ your rating is highly reliable. It only increases through scrim play.
- How do I sign up as a pre-made team?
- Use /signup in Discord when a scrim block is open. Include your teammates and the bot registers your trio, applies the coordination bonus, and adds you to the lobby queue. You can check open scrim blocks on the Scrim Blocks page.
